The Northwest Selects Female Hockey Organization started its girls program in 2005 and have been growing every year since then. Our players are some of the most skilled players in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada and we play in the highest profile tournaments available.

Our Mission is to develop a long-lasting tradition of competitive hockey in the Pacific Northwest for the female athlete that fosters their development and exposure to upper level women’s hockey and recruitment by our nation’s best college hockey programs.

NWS is pleased to be supported by Kent Valley Hockey Association (KVHA) and utilize the Kent Valley Ice Centre (KVIC) for some of its practices, camps and try-outs.

The NWS Organization's affiliation is with the Oregon State Hockey Association (KVHA teams are affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association).  Under USA Hockey's dual roster program, many of the girls are dual registered playing on a boy's team at their home association in Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Nevada and also registered with NWS playing a tournament schedule.
 Tournaments include the biggest scouting venues for colleges, such as:

  *  Thoroughbreds - Minnesota
  *  Polar Bear - Connecticut
  *  Northbrook - Lake Placid

In the program's first 3 years, it has 3 tournament wins and 7 players graduated into the college ranks.  If you have an aspiration to play college hockey, the NWS are committed to getting you there.
